What’s worse… a slut or a paedo?

Rush Limbaugh, on his radio show, hemmed and hawed through a rambling pseudo-apology for his comments about Sandra Fluke.  Comments that included calling her a “slut” and a “prostitute.”  As well as saying, “So Miss Fluke, and the rest of you feminazis, here’s the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex. We want something for it. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch.”  Rush Limbaugh is a creepy motherfucker who obtains illegal prescription Viagra and takes it with him when on vacation to known sex tourist destinations such as the Dominican Republic where it isn’t uncommon to find prostitutes working who are as young as thirteen, which means, if Rush met with one of these girls for sex, then under USA law he is a rapist.  I thought that was icky, but now he wants all women who have insurance that covers birth control to post videos of their sex acts on the internet.  The creep gets creepier.

Limbaugh’s apology to Fluke was by way of claiming he had descended to the level of those on the left. “I acted too much like the leftists who despise me,” he said.  Please note, that it’s just some sodden lump of proles known as “the leftists,” and no specific names can be given, but who are these leftists and what are the vile things they say Rush?  Give us names!  It’s so good to hear that it was only a momentary lapse that caused you to sink to the level of those on the left, you, who have been conflating the fight for equality between the sexes with Nazism for over 20 years now by the continual use of the odious term “feminazi,” which you’ve now gone ahead and applied to Sandra Fluke and every woman who wants her insurance company to cover birth control.

Sandra Fluke’s testimony to the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee was about a friend of hers who lost an ovary because of a medical condition that could’ve been treated with birth control pills. Rush, always a class act, isn’t sure if he believes Ms. Fluke has any such friend, and then went on to say, “I haven’t called Georgetown to see if they pay for birth control pills when used to treat OTHER medical conditions.”  Does that mean Rush thinks the insurers should cover birth control for OTHER medical conditions?  Would the use of birth control for OTHER medical conditions not infringe on anyone’s religious liberties to be misogynist pigs?  And how could we know they wouldn’t abuse their prescription birth control by “banging it five times a day,” to use the specific words of specific right-wing woman, Pamela Geller… See Rush?  I can pick names and hateful quotes out on the right.  Why can’t you do so on the left?  Should we protect religious freedoms by enforcing the use of chastity belts on women who get prescription birth control to make sure they’re not causing the baby Jesus to cry?  Is that a good idea?  He exposes himself with that one statement about “OTHER medical conditions.”  He shows his head-popping rage over insurance providers covering birth control has nothing to do with religious freedom.  It’s about controlling and punishing women.  It’s about taking away people’s personal choices, and he says the government shouldn’t be involved in people’s bedrooms.  Does he even listen to himself?

Rush said he took the easy road in trash talking Ms. Fluke.  Rush said he used “names and exaggerations to describe Sandra Fluke.”  That he focused on her sex life “because it was simple.”  See. It’s simple to serve up hate to a hate-starved audience.

Rush said he “used satire” to describe Ms. Fluke who is, he said, “engaging in sexual activity so often she couldn’t afford it.”  As Rachel Maddow pointed out, Rush doesn’t even understand how birth control works (or satire).  He doesn’t seem to know that you take one pill a day, everyday, and it doesn’t matter if you’re “banging it five times a day,” or five times a year.  That’s how it works.  That’s how birth control treats its primary medical condition… not any of those OTHER okeydokey medical conditions… but it’s main medical condition of fertility in the presence of spermatozoa… the medical condition that causes Rush Limbaugh to blast off into an orbit of satirical misogyny so well-executed and subtly performed you’d barely notice it was satire.
